ANIMAS FORKS GHOST TOWN

OVERVIEW

Animas Forks is a ghost town located twelve miles northeast of Silverton in San Juan County, Colorado. With Silverton Rock Pirates, your adventure begins in the quaint town of Silverton from which you will ride through scenic mountain valleys and along running streams. Partway through your ride, you'll start to see the rickety wooden buildings in the distance that make up Animas Forks. Once you get to the abandoned town, guests may walk around, take in the sights, and explore the historic buildings. You'll even be able to step inside the buildings to see what it was like to live inside this unforgotten mining community.
