Snowmobiling in Cooke City is the ultimate sled-in sled-out experience. Start your adventure in the heart of town and ride straight into the mountains. Explore the legendary backcountry terrain and bottomless powder that Cooke City has to offer.

A variety of terrain difficulties are available, from groomed snowmobile trails to advanced backcountry terrain. Day trip mileage can vary from 20-70 miles round trip depending on skill level. Cooke City offers over 60+ miles of groomed trails alongside the endless off-trail terrain in areas such as Lulu Pass, Daisy Pass, Round Lake, and Sheep Creek.

The Cooke City experience is truly unique and unlike any other snowmobile destination. Experience a scenic drive into town through northwestern Yellowstone National Park to access the rustic end-of-the-road mining town. Start and end your day at the Cooke City Exxon where you can grab some pizza while you pick up/drop off your rentals. At nighttime head over next door for dinner at the infamous Miner's Saloon for games and good times to end the night.

All drivers of off-road vehicles are required to be 18+ years of age with a valid driver’s license. All passengers must be able to grasp a handhold with their hands, plant feet firmly on the ground, and have their back fully against the backrest. Helmets and eye protection are always required to be worn when the vehicle is being operated.

Cancellation policy

We understand that plans can change and we strive to accommodate our customers whenever possible. However, to ensure the availability of our equipment and to maintain the highest quality of service for all customers, we have instituted the following cancellation policy:

  1. Cancellation Window: Customers must cancel their reservation at least 72 hours prior to their scheduled rental time to be eligible for a full refund.

  2. Refunds: If a cancellation is made more than 72 hours in advance of the rental time, the customer will receive a full refund of any amounts paid. Cancellations made within the 72-hour window will result in a forfeiture of the full rental fee.

  3. Method of Cancellation: Cancellations must be made by directly calling our office during regular business hours. We do not accept cancellations via email, text, or social media platforms.

  4. No-Show: If you do not show up for your rental and do not cancel according to our policy, no refund will be provided.

  5. Exceptions: Exceptions to this policy due to emergency situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of management.

Arrive for your Adventure equipped with adequate winter clothing to ensure a comfortable ride.

Required safety gear, including helmets, is provided. Winter socks, snow boots, waterproof gloves, snow pants, winter coat/parks, winter hat, gaiter to wear under helmet.

Feel free to bring a backpack with water, snacks, etc.
