About This Adventure

Heading to Colorado? This fabulous, guided tour from Gianinetti’s Powersports Rentals is perfect for those who want to stick to the trails but still enjoy breathtaking views. As with all rentals at Gianinetti’s, riders will meet at the shop for a safety orientation, equipment checkout, and waiver completion. You’ll then drive your car for 13.5 miles to the trailhead. The snowmobile trail itself is approximately 30 miles roundtrip.

This tour begins at Yellowjacket Trailhead. From here, you’ll ride your Polaris snowmobile into the White River National Forest and enjoy the scenery as you ride along beautiful trails through aspen and evergreen trees. Intermediate-level trails will take you through narrow forest trails, by open parks, and near snowy peaks.

The views near Sleepy Cat Peak provide a great location for a picnic lunch or group photos. Some say that Sleepy Cat Peak looks like a sleeping cat—see if you agree!

Finish off your day by hitting the hot tub at the Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation Center, or head straight to one of Meeker’s lovely dining spots. Several local lodging options are available just a few doors away: Trailhead Cabins, Meeker Hotel, Blue Spruce Inn, and White River Inn.
