About This Adventure

If you’re a more experienced snowmobiler ready to tap into our adventure guides’ backcountry expertise to take your ride to the next level, this Adventure is for you. After getting equipped and meeting the brand-new Polaris snowmobile you’ll be riding for the day, you’ll get a rundown of the day’s itinerary from your guide. Trail conditions, weather updates, and avalanche risk will all be factored into creating the safest and best possible route. You’ll ride your snowmobile rental directly onto the trails from your lodge or cabin during your stay—or you’re welcome to just visit for the day and enjoy a single day of riding.

Once you’re fully prepped and prepared for the ride, it’s time to find that sweet powder! Whether it’s your first or hundredth time riding off trail, our guides will gauge the ride to your skill level to deliver one of the most fun snowmobiling experiences you’ve ever had.

With more than two million acres just waiting to be explored in the Snowy Mountains of Wyoming, and some of the nation’s most reliable snow conditions (averaging more than 380 inches annually), the Medicine Bow Routt National Forest is one of the best snowmobiling regions in the country.

You can go as hard or as easy as you want—your guide will work with you and your group to pursue a perfect mix of terrains and elevations. Great views are guaranteed, and you’ll also want to stay on the lookout for wildlife. Wolves, moose, marmots, and big horn sheep are just a few of the animals that call this forest home.

Post-ride eats can be found in the warm and cozy Albany Lodge Restaurant, where you can enjoy some Rocky Mountain Oysters and other delicious appetizers with your riding companions.

New offering! For an added fee, you can easily capture video of your incredible experience. Albany Lodge offers 360-degree cameras mounted on your snowmobile. At the end of your ride, you’ll receive a digital download that you can share with family and friends.
