The Mt. Hood Wilderness Ride snowmobile tours take place on a designated trail network within the Mt. Hood National Forest, primarily traversing public land with exclusive access to specific snowmobile routes.
The guided tour explores scenic areas around Timothy Lake and Frog Lake, offering stunning views of Mt. Hood and the surrounding Cascade Range. Riders begin their adventure by checking in at the Mt. Hood Outfitters storefront in Government Camp, where they receive an orientation and gear fitting. After check-in, guests drive their personal vehicles to either the Frog Lake or Skyline Sno-Park trailhead, where the snowmobile tour begins. The Mt. Hood Wilderness Ride covers 15-35 miles of scenic trails, with access to a vast network of loops, ensuring every tour is unique and tailored to the group’s preferences and trail conditions.
Our snowmobile tours explore stunning locations such as Timothy Lake, Clear Lake, and Little Crater Lake, along with iconic viewpoints like High Rocks and Frog Lake Butte, offering breathtaking vistas of Mt. Hood and unique opportunities to discover historic sites like the Clear Lake Lookout Tower and scenic spots like White River. With access to a variety of trails and loops, each tour is tailored to showcase the natural beauty and hidden gems of the Mt. Hood National Forest.
