About This Adventure
Perfect for new-to-snowmobiling riders as well as riders who want to get the very most out of their experience, our guided Top of the World Trail tour is an Albany Lodge favorite. The highly trained team members at Albany Lodge are ready to equip you with all the gear and guidance you’ll need to enjoy the stunning Wyoming winter landscapes of the Medicine Bow Routt National Forest, widely known as some of the best winter terrain in the country.
After receiving helmets, goggles, and any extra items you might need, you’ll go outside for a quick lesson on how to safely operate your Polaris snowmobile rental and receive a rundown of your tour itinerary. You’ll ride your sled directly onto the trails from your lodge or cabin during your stay — or you’re welcome to visit for the day and enjoy a single day of riding.
Factoring in their knowledge of the terrain and snow/weather conditions, your expert adventure guide will create a route that safely gets you to the best scenes and sights possible. You’ll wind through gorgeous forest floors, break out onto vast rolling meadows, and take in beautiful views of the Snowy Range Mountains. Your route might also take you to the ruins of a mining ghost town and past an old sheep herders’ cabin. Keep an eye out for moose, elk, big horn sheep, and other wildlife along the way! Whatever route your guide creates for you, it’s guaranteed to be a grand adventure.
When your Adventure is over, head to the cozy Albany Lodge Restaurant, the perfect place to gather with family and friends for some warm, delicious comfort food. For a real treat, try the “Medicine Bow Peak” featuring rock fish fillet grilled to perfection.
New this year! For an added fee, you can easily capture video of your incredible experience. Albany Lodge offers 360-degree cameras mounted on your snowmobile. At the end of your ride, you’ll receive a digital download that you can share with family and friends.
