About this Adventure

Trailhead Resort is located directly off the Spearhead Trails Original Pocahontas (OP) Trail System. Rent a Polaris off-road side-by-side on the trail system located near the historic town of Pocahontas, Virginia, in Tazewell County.

The OP trail provides you with an exciting deep woods experience along with relaxing rest stops and stunning vistas. With 60+ miles of trail currently open, the OP offers a fun day of riding through one of Virginia’s most beautiful regions.

Rider Requirements

All drivers of off-road vehicles are required to have a valid driver's license. All passengers must be able to grasp a handhold with their hands, plant feet firmly on the ground, and have their back fully against the backrest. Helmets and eye protection are always required to be worn when the vehicle is being operated.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations will be charged a 10% (of deposit) cancellation fee.

Trailhead will issue a full refund minus the 10% cancellation fee if cancellation is made at least 48 hours prior to the reservation start time.

Trailhead will not issue refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of the reservation start time.

We offer a one-time courtesy reservation rescheduling if the change to the reservation is made at least 48 hours before the reservation start time.

Rescheduling is based on rental availability, and the new reservation must take place during the current riding season.

Please call 276-945-3089 to cancel your reservation. Cancellations cannot be made online.

What to bring

Guests are recommended to wear closed-toe shoes, and long shirts and pants for a safe, comfortable ride.

A neck gaiter or bandana is also recommended for dust, to wear beneath your helmet (helmet and goggles are always provided).

Bring extra layers like a lightweight jacket or sweatshirt in case of weather changes.

Feel free to bring along a backpack with water, snacks, bug spray, and sunscreen.
