Nestled in the heart of southwestern Virginia, Trailhead Resort & Adventures offers the perfect friends and family lodging location for ATV & Dirt Bike enthusiasts with a selection of cabins, cottages, and RV/tent sites.

Trailhead Resort & Adventures provides the unique combination of a top-quality campground and proximity to two premiere trail systems: the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System and the Spearhead Trails System. Explore any of these trails by renting one of our Polaris UTVs and take a ride. Choose family-friendly green trails or dare to be challenged on black trails.

Enjoy vistas, wildlife, and endless miles of canopied forests throughout the remote, rugged terrain. Split the mud holes or take the high road. This mountain challenge awaits you.

Rider Requirements

All drivers of off-road vehicles are required to have a valid driver's license. All passengers must be able to grasp a handhold with their hands, plant feet firmly on the ground, and have their back fully against the backrest. Helmets and eye protection are always required to be worn when the vehicle is being operated.

All drivers must be 21 years or older

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations will be charged a 10% (of deposit) cancellation fee.

Trailhead Adventures will issue a full refund minus the 10% cancellation fee if cancellation is made at least 48 hours prior to the reservation start time.

Trailhead Adventures will not issue refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of the reservation start time.

We offer a one-time courtesy reservation rescheduling if the change to the reservation is made at least 48 hours before the reservation start time.

Rescheduling is based on rental availability, and the new reservation must take place during the current riding season.

Please call 276-945-3089 to cancel your reservation. Cancellations cannot be made online.

What to bring

Guests are recommended to wear closed-toe shoes, and long shirts and pants for a safe, comfortable ride.

A neck gaiter or bandana is also recommended for dust, to wear beneath your helmet (helmet and goggles are always provided).

Bring extra layers like a lightweight jacket or sweatshirt in case of weather changes.

Feel free to bring along a backpack with water, snacks, bug spray, and sunscreen.
