About this Adventure

See the best backcountry terrain Montana has to offer with a Polaris Off-Road vehicle rental in Cooke City, MT. Explore endless miles of trails in the Custer Gallatin National Forest and Absaroka Mountain Ranges before heading into Yellowstone National Park.

Jump in a 2 seater or 4 seater side-by-side in the center of town and drive to a trailhead just a couple blocks away.

Cooke City is special for it's immediate access to thousands of acres of national forest terrain. With enough backcountry trails to explore for days it's up to you to spend 1, 2, or 3 days seeing the best views Montana has to offer. We offer rental periods of 2, 4, or 8 Hours in addition to Full Day or Multi-Day Rentals.

Drive up Lulu or Daisy Pass for scenic views of Pilot and Index Peaks. Drive out to the border of national forest land and enjoy a hike into true backcountry terrain and the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness area.

Trails difficulty ranges from easy to drive logging and mining roads to narrow rocky single track to get your heart racing.

Fill up on snacks, drinks, and any gear you need at the Cooke City Exxon when you pick up your UTV and drop it off.

All drivers of off-road vehicles are required to have a valid driver's license. All passengers must be able to grasp a handhold with their hands, plant feet firmly on the ground, and have their back fully against the backrest. Helmets and eye protection are always required to be worn when the vehicle is being operated.

Cancellation Policy

20% of Bookings are NON-REFUNDABLE

We offer a 80% refund if a reservation is cancelled at least 48 hours in advance.

We do not offer a refund if a reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours in advance.

We prefer to reschedule, at no additional cost, if you're able to and if we have the availability!

CANCELLATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS (9am-5pm MST). If you email, text, or leave a voicemail outside of our business hours, it will be addressed the following day.

Our only exception for this is a Severe Weather Advisory/Air-Quality Advisory for Park County. We do not offer refunds for light rain/muddy trails.

What to bring

Guests are recommended to wear closed-toe shoes, and long shirts and pants for a safe, comfortable ride.

A neck gaiter or bandana is also recommended for dust, to wear beneath your helmet (helmet and goggles are always provided).

Bring extra layers like a lightweight jacket or sweatshirt in case of weather changes.

Feel free to bring along a backpack with water, snacks, bug spray, and sunscreen.
