About This Adventure
Advanced off-road riders prepare to climb in elevation with Weezie’s Wild Rides in their state-of-the-art Polaris RZR and Ranger Crews. Starting at 8,500 feet, you will climb a mountainous terrain and reach an elevation of 11,500 feet, leading you to the northern side of the Sangre de Cristos mountain range, past Black Mountain, and eventually to Goose Lake.
Goose Lake is an incredible glacier lake that makes you feel like you’ve entered another world. There is an advanced hiking trail for intermediate to expert hikers that guests can explore to stretch their legs and see more of the mountainous terrain that isn’t accessible by vehicle.
You will have unrestricted views of Wheeler Peak, the highest point in New Mexico, and more. While soaking in the scenery, you will have the opportunity to see bighorn sheep scaling the mountainside. Other overlooks along the way include the historic Placer Creek mines and abandoned mining cabins from the early 1900s, where an estimated 662,000 ounces of gold were produced from the deposits.
Off-road enthusiasts have sought this popular destination for decades; assemble your squad and see what all of the hype is about.
