About this Adventure

During this self-guided tour, you will make your way up a forest road in the Smoky Bear Ranger District towards the beautiful lookout. Though not completely original, it was built in 1936 and partially reconstructed in 1940, Monjeau Lookout in on the National Register of Historic Places. During the right time of year, you can hear the elk bugle through the valley against the backdrop of Sierra Blanca Wilderness.

Rider Requirements

Minimum age to drive: 18
Minimum age to carry a minor: 25

Other Guest Requirements

All drivers of off-road vehicles are required to have a valid driver's license. All passengers must be able to grasp a handhold with their hands, plant feet firmly on the ground, and have their back fully against the backrest. Helmets and eye protection are always required to be worn when the vehicle is being operated.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made three or more days in advance are fully refundable. Cancellations made 1-2 days in advance are 75% refundable. Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable and can not be rescheduled.

A late fee will be charged of $50 will be charged to any parties that are 15 minutes late or more.

BCA holds the right to refuse service to anyone
BCA holds the right to cancel any/all tours based on inclement weather conditions, due to the safety of our customers. In this case, there would be no charge.

What to bring

Guests are recommended to wear closed toed shoes, long shirts and pants for a safe, comfortable ride. A neck gator or bandana is also recommended to wear underneath your helmet to help with dust. Helmets and goggles are always provided. Bring extra layers
