About This Adventure

Explore the northern Pocono Mountains state parks and some of the best back roads in the Pocono Mountains behind the wheel of a Polaris Slingshot. This route starts with Big Pocono State Park. This park spans 1,306 acres on the summit and slopes of Camelback Mountain. Perched atop the Mountain, Big Pocono State Park is rugged and scenic. A paved, 1.4-mile drive encircles the mountaintop, providing magnificent Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey views. Next, you'll head to Promise Land State Park. Spanning 3,000 acres on the Pocono Plateau, Promised Land State Park is 1,800 feet above sea level and surrounded by 12,464 acres of the Delaware State Forest, including natural areas. The park's forests consist primarily of beech, oak, maple, and hemlock trees. Two lakes and several small streams add to the park's outstanding beauty. The final destination on your route is Tobyhanna State Park, located in Monroe and Wayne counties. The park encompasses 5,440 acres, including a 170-acre lake. Dip your feet in the water and enjoy the natural beauty of the Pocono Mountains. You will find two suggested restaurants, Hickory Valley Farm restaurant, old-school country-style diner fare & BBQ sandwiches serving the best breakfast and lunch in the Pocono's since 1949! The second restaurant is in a league of its own. The Tap Room offers a bistro-style menu and is located on the beautiful property of the Skytop Lodge. Surround yourself with the beautiful scenery with unobstructed views in the three-wheeled Polaris Slingshot. Rent yours today.
