Driving a Slingshot or Indian Motorcycle on paved roads and highways.
Outfitters provide a suggested route, trail map, and list of sites/attractions to riders who want to adventure on their own.
Start your engines and embark on a truly unique experience with Weezie’s Wild Rides in top-notch Polaris Slingshots. The National Forest Scenic Byway is the most popular tour, offering an incredible 84-mile route with several scenic overlooks around every corner.
You will start driving through Red River, complete with old saloons, making it seem like you were traveling through an old-west town. As you leave Red River, elk, deer, and other wildlife will greet you on the side of the road while driving between Bobcat Pass and Eagle Nest Lake, where some of the finest trout and landlocked salmon in the country can be found.
While cruising in the open-aired roadster, you will make your way into Elizabethtown, where thousands of miners struck gold in 1870. Continuing down the route, you can stop at Vietnam Veterans Memorial before taking in the scenery at Angel Fire. You will then travel through the Taos Canyon and the Hondo Valley.
When coming out of the valley, you will see the scarred mountain to the east that was burned by the San Cristobal/Lama fire of 1996, which destroyed almost 8,000 acres of National Forest. This “Enchanted Circle” drive shows the spectacular New Mexico views while breathing the fresh mountain air. Get ready to maneuver along the curvy mountain roads and take a ride through history on this epic on-road experience.
