About This Adventure

Bear Lodge Resort is a year-round, full-service family-owned lodge, operating for 29 years. It all started as a vision of a couple from Upstate New York wanting to enjoy the rest of their lives together in the mountains of Wyoming. As a result, a nationwide family was born where guests from every state come out and enjoy the Big Horn Mountains in all their beauty. Throughout 29 years, the lodge expanded into a hotel, cabins, duplexes, campgrounds, and powersports Outfitter for many activities, mainly snowmobiling.

Nestled on top of the Big Horn National Forest, all of Bear Lodge’s services are an ear shot away from each other. Check in to your room at the front desk, a one-minute walk to the snowmobile shop, and you’re off! More than 300 miles of groomed trails will take you to some of the most breathtaking and scenic backcountry in the west. The Bighorn National Forest is your playground, whether you choose to ride the groomed trails or plow through the deep powder and create your own path. You can expect to find hundreds of secluded bowls of the spectacular Ponderosa pine-covered hills and open park meadows. Just grab your snow gear, drive up the mountain, and let us handle the rest. Enjoy the full-service lodge and rent a model year Polaris Snowmobile for half, full, or multiple days to explore the range at your own pace.

The snowmobile shop team is committed to provide an effortless and enjoyable experience, so do not hesitate to ask or inquire, as we are here to help. You’ll receive a full safety and riding debriefing before you venture out, and the guides at Bear Lodge Resort will be happy to give you tips and suggestions for maximizing your itinerary and your experience.

Snowmobile riding gear—including one-pieces and boots—is also available for rent.
