The Up North Winter Experience is a self-guided snowmobile tour through the scenic trails of northern Harbor Springs. Rent an all-new Polaris snowmobile for 2 to 8 hours daily, or extend your riding with multi-day rentals. Customize your adventure on beautifully groomed trails that will take you along wooded areas and Lake Michigan. Harbor Springs averages 99 inches of snow per year, creating the perfect riding conditions. Local volunteers at the snowmobile clubs make sure the fresh snow is groomed smoothly for all riders to enjoy. Expect the scenery to change with every snowfall and corner ahead, making for the perfect photo opportunities along the way to capture your favorite winter experience up north.

Rider Requirements

All drivers of off-road vehicles are required to be 18+ years of age with a valid driver’s license. All passengers must be able to grasp a handhold with their hands, plant feet firmly on the ground, and have their back fully against the backrest. Helmets and eye protection are always required to be worn when the vehicle is being operated.

Guests are recommended to wear winter clothing, including winter socks and snow boots, waterproof gloves, snow pants and parka, and winter hat.

A neck gaiter is recommended to wear beneath your helmet (helmet and goggles are always provided.)

Feel free to bring along a backpack with water, snacks, sunglasses, and hand and toe warmers.
