About This Adventure
With easy access to Medicine Bow Routt National Forest and some of the best snow conditions anywhere in the U.S., Albany Lodge delivers consistently unforgettable outdoor winter experiences. Our Top of the World Trail self-guided snowmobile tour is perfect for Adventurers ready to strike out on their own on 600 miles of trails (both groomed and marked/ungroomed) just waiting to be explored.
Albany Lodge makes everything easy. You’ll ride a Polaris snowmobile directly onto the trails from your lodge or cabin during your stay — or you’re welcome to just visit for the day and enjoy a single day of riding.
Located at the base of the Rocky Mountains, Albany Lodge is your effortless gateway to pristine powder — 380 inches annually on average. Keep an eye out for moose, elk, big horn sheep, and other wildlife as you climb to photo-worthy vistas like Libby Flats, where the astonishing elevation delivers views all the way to Colorado and parts of Utah, making this one of the best places to visit in Wyoming.
After a day of riding, you’ll want to relax and enjoy some delicious, executive chef-prepared food in the warm and cozy Albany Lodge Restaurant. Tip: You can’t go wrong with “The Ranger,” a certified Angus beef tenderloin wrapped in thick-cut bacon.
New this year! For an added fee, you can easily capture video of your incredible experience. Albany Lodge offers 360-degree cameras mounted on your snowmobile. At the end of your ride, you’ll receive a digital download that you can share with family and friends.
