Mercer is a hub of area snowmobiling with trails radiating in all directions, including the popular Corridor 8 that travels west from town through the Lake of the Falls scenic area and the Turtle Flambeau Flowage toward Ashland County. Another popular option is Corridor 17, taking riders along the Upper Michigan border.
