The tour includes stops for recreational metal detecting where guides share stories of forgotten relics, frontier history, and the treasure-hunting traditions connected to the mountains. Guests will also hear local legends surrounding Bigfoot sightings reported throughout the Uintas, adding mystery and excitement to the backcountry experience. The adventure finishes with stories of the historic Josephine Mine and the mining history that helped shape this wild and legendary mountain region.
