This experience takes you into high-alpine terrain just outside of town, where you'll ride through dense forests, open meadows, and up to incredible viewpoints overlooking Fish Creek Falls Reservoir and the surrounding mountains.

Buffalo Pass offers the perfect mix of accessibility and scenery—giving you a true Colorado mountain experience without venturing too far from Steamboat.

Rider Requirements

▪️ Minimum age to drive: 18
▪️ Minimum age to carry a minor: 25

Other Guest Requirements

All drivers of off-road vehicles are required to have a valid driver's license. All passengers must be able to grasp a handhold with their hands, plant feet firmly on the ground, and have their back fully against the backrest. Helmets and eye protection are always required to be worn when the vehicle is being operated.

All guests must be capable of hauling a trailer.

Cancellation Policy

A quick reminder of our cancelation policy:

Cancelation insurance is available at checkout for 10% of your reservation total. Guests who opt for this can cancel anytime, up to the day of their reservation, for a full refund (minus the insurance fee).

Without cancelation insurance, cancellations must be made at least 10 days prior to your reservation date to receive a full refund.

Inside the 10-day window, reservations are non-refundable. However, we’re happy to move your dates, pending availability, or convert your reservation into a credit for future use.

No-Show: If you do not show up for your rental and do not cancel according to our policy, no refund will be provided.

Exceptions: Exceptions to this policy due to emergency situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of management.

What to bring

Wear closed-toe shoes along with long sleeves and pants to protect against sun, brush, and trail debris.

We recommend bringing:

Water

Snacks

Sunscreen

Sunglasses or a neck gaiter for dust

Mountain weather can change quickly — bring a light jacket or extra layer.
