About this Adventure

Experience a true bucket-list Colorado adventure as you ride to the Continental Divide, where water flows to both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. This high-alpine UTV tour follows parts of the Alpine Loop through remote terrain, historic mining routes, and sweeping mountain views. Visit Kite Lake, pass the Beartown mining site, and explore the headwaters of the Rio Grande—one of the most unique off-road experiences in the San Juan Mountains.

Other Guest Requirements

All drivers of off-road vehicles are required to have a valid driver's license. All passengers must be able to grasp a handhold with their hands, plant feet firmly on the ground, and have their back fully against the backrest. Helmets and eye protection are always required to be worn when the vehicle is being operated.

Cancellation Policy

Reservation deposits (50%) are nonrefundable but the remaining balance may be refundable if cancelled more than 72 hours (3 days) before reservation date. Cancellations inside 72 hours of tour or rental departures are not subject to refund and will be charge the full balance. No-shows and late arrivals are not eligible for refunds. Although we may allow a one-time change within the same year based upon availability and circumstance.

What to bring

- Eye Protection: Eye protection is legally required while off-roading. We recommend bringing your favorite pair of sunglasses for comfort and protection. If you don’t have any—or prefer something different—we do offer eye protection for all riders.

- Rain Jacket/ Extra Layers: Weather in the mountains can change quickly, especially at higher elevations. Rain gear and extra layers for warmth are highly recommended.

- Comfortable Shoes: You’ll likely want to hop out and explore some scenic spots—so be sure to wear shoes you’re comfortable walking around in.

- Face Covering: A face gaiter or bandana is a great idea for dusty conditions, which can occur depending on the weather and trail traffic.

- Snacks & Water: Please remember to hydrate and bring snacks for if you get hungry along the ride.

- Coolers and Ice: We do have coolers available for use, but please bring your own ice for cold beverages and food.

- Sunscreen and Bug Spray: These items are always good to keep on hand in the Colorado mountains!
