The Silverton Backcountry Snowmobile Experience, which departs at 10am daily, will take you into unchartered territory. Your highly skilled adventure guide will lead you into and through multiple zones on a carefully planned and safely executed itinerary based on snow conditions, rider experience levels, and avalanche risk.
While all snowmobile rentals with Ice Pirate Adventures get riders exclusive outfitter access to a 55,000-acre area of the stunning San Juan mountains, this tour takes things even further—literally. You’ll go off-trail and cover terrain that only a handful of snowmobilers will see all winter. Plus, you'll get plenty of opportunities to customize your ride throughout the day. Want more time above the tree line? Have a few landmarks or vistas that are on your must-see list? This full-day tour is intended to deliver a truly unforgettable snowmobiling experience that caters to your specific desires.
All that riding is going to make you hungry. Because this ride takes you into the backcountry, you’ll be eating on the fly wherever it works to stop and take a rest. Your guide will pack plenty of heavy snacks (protein bars, meat and cheese, etc.) to make sure you’re energized from the start of your ride till when you pull back into base camp after a day spent experiencing the best that Colorado winters have to offer.

Cancellation policy
We understand that plans can change and we strive to accommodate our customers whenever possible. However, to ensure the availability of our equipment and to maintain the highest quality of service for all customers, we have instituted the following cancellation policy:
Cancellation Window: Customers must cancel their reservation at least 72 hours prior to their scheduled rental time to be eligible for a full refund.
Refunds: If a cancellation is made more than 72 hours in advance of the rental time, the customer will receive a full refund of any amounts paid. Cancellations made within the 72-hour window will result in a forfeiture of the full rental fee.
Method of Cancellation: Cancellations must be made by directly calling our office during regular business hours. We do not accept cancellations via email, text, or social media platforms.
No-Show: If you do not show up for your rental and do not cancel according to our policy, no refund will be provided.
Exceptions: Exceptions to this policy due to emergency situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of management.

What to Bring
Arrive for your Adventure equipped with adequate winter clothing to ensure a comfortable ride.
Required safety gear, including helmets, is provided.
Winter socks, snow boots, waterproof gloves, snow pants, winter coat/parks, winter hat, gaiter to wear under helmet
Feel free to bring a backpack with water, snacks, etc.
