About This Adventure

The Freeze Out Point area, located in Bighorn National Forest, is loaded with open meadows, spectacular views, creek beds, draws, and moderate hill climbing. Ride right from Elk View Inn's parking lot. This adventure is thirty miles round-trip staying on the groomed trails only.

Miles of optional off trail riding available and will add miles onto the trip. Whether you're on top of Dry Fork or Skull Ridge or meandering through Sawmill Flats, you're sure to find something for everyone.

The groomed J trail dead ends at Freeze Out Point with endless opportunities for good riding within miles of either direction of J trail. This adventure is for beginner to intermediate riders.

The breathtaking views at Freeze Out Point and stops along the way make it a "must-see".

Get Directions

All drivers of off-road vehicles are required to be 18+ years of age with a valid driver’s license. All passengers must be able to grasp a handhold with their hands, plant feet firmly on the ground, and have their back fully against the backrest. Helmets and eye protection are always required to be worn when the vehicle is being operated.

Cancellation policy

We understand that plans can change and we strive to accommodate our customers whenever possible. However, to ensure the availability of our equipment and to maintain the highest quality of service for all customers, we have instituted the following cancellation policy:

  1. Cancellation Window: Customers must cancel their reservation at least 72 hours prior to their scheduled rental time to be eligible for a full refund.

  2. Refunds: If a cancellation is made more than 72 hours in advance of the rental time, the customer will receive a full refund of any amounts paid. Cancellations made within the 72-hour window will result in a forfeiture of the full rental fee.

  3. Method of Cancellation: Cancellations must be made by directly calling our office during regular business hours. We do not accept cancellations via email, text, or social media platforms.

  4. No-Show: If you do not show up for your rental and do not cancel according to our policy, no refund will be provided.

  5. Exceptions: Exceptions to this policy due to emergency situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of management.

Guests are recommended to wear winter clothing, including winter socks and snow boots, waterproof gloves, snow pants and parka, and winter hat.

A neck gaiter is recommended to wear beneath your helmet and is available for purchase.(helmet and goggles are always provided).

Feel free to bring along a backpack with water, snacks, sunglasses, and hand and toe warmers. (These items are also available for purchase in our gift shop)
