About This Adventure

Ready for a quintessential “Up North” snowmobiling Adventure? Rent a snowmobile at the beautiful Superior Shores Resort in Two Harbors, Minnesota, located just 40 minutes from Duluth International Airport.

This ride-in-/ride-out Adventure (half or full day) starts in the lobby of the resort, where you’ll get prepped for your ride and receive your helmet. Moments later, you’ll be riding a new Polaris snowmobile on the C.J. Ramstad/North Shore State Trail, which stretches 146 forested miles along the North Shore of Lake Superior to Grand Marais. An adventure guide will join your ride for the first 15 minutes to make sure you’re comfortable and ready to explore on your own. After that, the Adventure is yours for the making. Stay on the groomed trail for a smooth, easy ride or take an offshoot trail for a more technical, challenging terrain.

Be on the lookout for moose and other wildlife as you take in the incredible scenery-dense northern wilderness punctuated with stunning views of Lake Superior. When you need to take a break, stop at one of the restaurants along the trail or take advantage of one of the many small Adirondack shelters where you can build a fire, relax, and take in the scenery.

When you get back to the resort, head to Silver Creek Chophouse. At a table next to the 40-foot fireplace, you can enjoy chef-prepared fare while taking in more views of Lake Superior-this time from within the warmth and comfort of one of the North Shore’s best restaurants.

This fun, winter Adventure is perfect for couples, families, and groups of friends who want to experience one of Minnesota’s most beautiful regions in the most memorable way possible.
